House of Avatars is a 3D chat application that allows users to interact with each other in a virtual environment via pre-made 3D avatars.  It aims to  foster a community of seekers, learners, and thinkers who want to explore the meaning of existence in a fun and engaging way.  It's an homage to a certain project in the past that had a satisfying resurrection.  We've had the opportunity to make it come to pass, and here we are.

    1️⃣ Enter the Environment
  •     •    Create an account or enter as a guest.

        •    Select your avatar.

        •   If you create an account you will start in the Graveyard. Guests start in the Sanctuary

    • Guests cannot be seen, chat, or leave the Sanctuary. You must create an account for that.

      2️⃣ Navigation

          •    Mouse Clicks – Click anywhere on the ground to move.
          •    Keyboard Controls – In Camera Mode, use the WASD keys to walk around.
          •    Sitting – In the default mode, click on pews or benches. When the “Sit” button appears, click it.

      3️⃣ Camera Controls

          •    Rotate Camera – Use the arrow buttons on the right side of the screen. (This only changes your view, not others.)
          •    Switch Views – Click the Camera button (bottom-right) to switch between Third-Person View and First-Person View.

      4️⃣ Interacting with Objects
          •    Candles – In Camera Mode, hover over a candle until the letter E appears, then press E to turn it on or off.

      5️⃣ Communication

          •    Chat – Send messages to everyone.
          •    Whisper – Speak privately with a specific user by using whisper mode.

      6️⃣ Private Prayer Mode

          •    Click the “Pray” tab above the chat box.
          •    Anything typed here is not sent to the server and remains private.
          •    Only you can see it (unless someone is physically behind you reading your screen).

1️⃣ Public Chat

    •    Type messages in the chat box at the bottom-left of the screen when Speak to people nearby is selected.

    •    You can see and interact with everyone in the environment.

    •    Each person's username will be visible next to their messages.

2️⃣ Private Messages (Whispers)

    •    Click “Whisper To:” above the chat box to send a private message.

    •    Start typing the username of the person you want to message.

    •    Usernames are case-sensitive, so be sure to capitalize them correctly.
